about
Inspired by the battle of Helm's Deep from the novel Lord of The Rings:
lyrics
The sky laid dead
Atop the darkest grey
The stillness of the heavy air
Forebodes a storm of raging rain
Will it start in time
To hide away our tears
Be brave
March
To the gates
To defend our race
A cry out from the walls
The enemy is at hand
Thunder impales the virgin night
Revealing the countless faceless hordes
That have come to take our land, and our lives
Arrows fly away
Like raindrops they fall
Swords crashing louder than the storm
To stop the White Hand
Ride forth Eorlingas
your king demands alliance
Ride forth Eorlingas
the faithless, the wicked shall
Fall
Crushed
By the weight of their own sinful wrath
Under the one true king
Can the race of men
Come together once again
Defend the Hornburg
Like heroes of past
With the blood of the brave
Pave the way the path for
The return of the heir
To rebuild the throne
To crush the one
That feeds from greed, pride, envy and
Fear
Lift high Swords and banners
The wicked the faithless shall
Fall
Away
As the moon begins her slumber
The firstborn rays of sun
Bring with them a sign of hope
From the hills far above
As promised he is come
A cry out from the walls
The enemy is fleeing
Devoured by the woods
Under the true king
We'll come together as one
The advance has been stopped
Heroes names have been forged
Sweat, tears and blood
Signs the honor of the just
Horns are blown
In celebration
The heir has returned

this album absolutely rips. this is what I would call epic thrash. it has that old school sound but sounds very fresh at the same time. definitely worth supporting, I had to buy the CD for my collection, I couldn't not. I don't even care if it's quote "Christian metal", the music is so damn good. maybe, GOD damn good. I hope these guys keep making heavy ass metal 🤘🏻 big_pete666
Brilliant, magical. Vivid soundscapes and feelings. Perfection! But, I have to admit, listening and taking a christian metal album into my collection is not something that I would normally do. Nonetheless, the music won me over, so I ignored everything else. Within Thy Wounds crafted here a transcendental, emotional atmosphere. Nothing can beat this. Umbra Cornuta
The great NYC black metal group Dawnbreaker returns with another harrowing LP, where brutal riffs are trailed by eerie synths. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2022
