about
Inspired by the battle of Empel (1585) :
lyrics
As they march toward battle
Each foot lands like lead
Tired legs, tired souls
Thirsting lips, hungry mouths
No signs of crops
No trace of livestock
No chance for truce
No incoming backup
Completely blocked by the enemy
Their lives for the Kingdom
To defend the Faith
Day by day the blockade lengthens
No war supplies, no dry clothes left
Only the cold, water and mud
Only the cold, water, mud, and loss of hope
The five thousand pray
Death over dishonor
We will talk of surrender after death
Our Queen in Heaven
Despair fills our starving souls
Blessed is the fruit of thy womb
Pray for us mother
Now and at the hour of our death
Will any of us live to fight another day
Waters surround the camp
Only 50 meters of dry land
As the soldiers dig a trench
A wooden picture is found
Joy fills the camp
"Hunger and cold defeat us,
The immaculate comes to save us"
Then the icy wind blew
Freezing all the water
Igniting their hearts
In the dark of night
Marching over ice
In the dark of night
Towards victory
Attack
Our Queen in Heaven
Despair fills our starving souls
Blessed is the fruit of thy womb
Pray for us mother
Now the hour of our death
Will any of us live
To fight another day
It could only be a miracle
Your prayers for our souls
Will time erase what was known by all
Our Queen in Heaven
Despair fills our starving souls
Blessed is the fruit of thy womb
Pray for us mother
Now and at the hour of our death
Will any of us live
To Fight Another day
Our Queen in Heaven
Despair feeds our starving souls (will any of us live)
(to fight another day)
Blessed is the fruit of thy womb (Pray for us now, And at the hour of our)
Death

this album absolutely rips. this is what I would call epic thrash. it has that old school sound but sounds very fresh at the same time. definitely worth supporting, I had to buy the CD for my collection, I couldn't not. I don't even care if it's quote "Christian metal", the music is so damn good. maybe, GOD damn good. I hope these guys keep making heavy ass metal 🤘🏻 big_pete666
Brilliant, magical. Vivid soundscapes and feelings. Perfection! But, I have to admit, listening and taking a christian metal album into my collection is not something that I would normally do. Nonetheless, the music won me over, so I ignored everything else. Within Thy Wounds crafted here a transcendental, emotional atmosphere. Nothing can beat this. Umbra Cornuta
The great NYC black metal group Dawnbreaker returns with another harrowing LP, where brutal riffs are trailed by eerie synths. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 23, 2022
